ABOUT

The Jr. Rockets basketball program offers girls and boys from the Richmond/Spring Grove area an opportunity to compete with high level teams from all over northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. Our goal is to provide instruction and competition for the youth in our community while also having fun and growing the game of basketball. Our hope is that kids can build up the skills and lessons they learn at Jr. Rockets and use them as a foundation for strong basketball programs at the High School level! Practices usually start in November and games and tournaments run until early March. Travel is usually limited to an hour or less for games/tournaments and we strive to be as flexible as possible when it comes to family or other commitment.

PHILOSOPHY

The goal of the Jr. Rockets basketball program is not just to develop solid student athletes, but more importantly to develop their character. The program follows the tenets of the ROCKET WAY: Respect, Ownership, Community, Keeping Perspective, Effort, and Together. These principles will hopefully guide the young men and women in our program on their paths to success both on and off the court.

Tryouts to be Sunday September 24, 2023 at Richmond Burton High School. Girls are 9am-10:30am and boys are 10:30am-12pm. Please link below to pre-register.
